This course is designed for people who are wanting to drive trucks and/or buses more than 18,000kg. If you do this course you don’t have to wait 6 months from the time you gain your C4 learners to sit your full licence.

📱 Pre-study material is done at home with a mixture of book work and online modules which can be done on a smart phone.

Licence: Hold a Class 4 Learner licence.
There is no test for this, you just pay the fee at VTNZ or AA.
To be eligible for your 4L, you must have held your Class 2 full licence for more than 6 months or 3 months if you are over 25 years old)
Medical: DL 9 Medical from your doctor to show you are medically fit to drive

24089: Demonstrate knowledge of fatigue management, Work Time, and Driver Logbook requirements, Level 3, Credits: 5.
17576: Operate a rigid vehicle to meet the requirements for full Class 4 driver licence, Level 3, Credits: 7.
Once successfully completed, all NZQA credits are reported on your record of learning with NZQA.
